Compounded GLP-1 combinations such as Semaglutide/Glycine or Tirzepatide/Glycine are prepared when a prescriber determines that a commercially available GLP-1 product is not clinically appropriate for an individual patient. The clinical justification must be included on the prescription in accordance with current regulatory guidance.
Compounded preparations are available only for patients for whom a commercially available GLP-1 product is clinically unsuitable, such as intolerance, excipient sensitivity, or dosing flexibility.
